Job Requirements:
1. Assist teachers in a variety of general education classroom settings.
2. Assist as needed for district and state-wide testing per student accommodations.
3. Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise testing and makeup work as assigned by the teacher.
4. Attend to the safety and well-being of the students.
5. Respect student and school confidentiality.
6. Under teacher direction, gather data on goal progress and behaviors.
7. Instructional Assistant will be responsible for any other duties assigned by building principals.
8. Instructional Assistant will meet with the Classroom Teacher/Title I Coordinator regularly to review student work, plan, and discuss student progress.
9. Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
Job Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, and computer knowledge is helpful along with the ability to work with a diverse student population.
